DISCOVERY NAMED IN HONOR TO GORDON AND BETTY MOORE FOUNDATION - Apu mooreorum
The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation have made possible that our citizen science program for the conservation of the forests of the Tambopata National Reserve, not stop during the pandemic.
With the financing of the Discovering New Species project, we have been able to develop citizen science not only on-site with shelter coverage but also online through digital channels. We have also been able to implement communication materials that raise awareness of the biodiversity of the Tambopata National Reserve and the importance of its conservation before the imminent dangers it faces with illegal mining.
Schools, universities, institutions, and the general public have been able to actively participate in online and face-to-face experiences in Tambopata.
